Ocean View walk, Burleigh heads

Burleigh Heads is a small national park and a prominent landmark in Goldcoast. The park contains variety of habitats, eucalyptus forest, pandanus groves, grassland, coastal heath, mangroves, creeks, rocky foreshore and beaches. The park is famous for hiking as its a small track with spectacular views.


Ocean View track is an easy 2.4km return walk overseeing Burleigh Heads and Tallebudgera Creek. This walk Trail has fantastic Views of Ocean , some beautiful rainforest feel and many lookout points. One  may glimpse humpback whales breaching in coastal waters during winter and spring. Find 3 lookouts(Ocean view lookout, Jebbribillum lookout, Tumgun Lookout) if you take Ocean view track circuit and return with Rainforest circuit.

Check Online Park Alerts for track closures before hand. Safety sign, DANGER Zone- boulder fall restricted access area sign displayed at risky spots.

Pack picnic for a relaxed afternoon at Echo beach after a walk. One can Swim at Tallebudgera Creek accessible from Echo beach.
